KCHR™: Kit Content History Reporting Tool

The KCHR™ technology provides MRO depots with real-time visibility of material requirements, orders placed, order status, alternative sources of supply (e.g., local manufacturing, robs), inventory status, and overall workload supportability within and across shops.

The increased use of military aircraft in ever expanding theatres of operation has put additional stress on aircraft fleets and the crews that maintain them.  To meet this increased demand, MRO depots need more effective methods and technologies for planning and managing the maintenance cycle.  Depots must be able to consistently track actual parts requirements for aircraft, the on-hand part quantities available, parts used, the source of utilized parts, and the current workload parts supportability.  The Kit Content History Reporting Tool (KCHR™) initiative focused on providing real-time visibility of material requirements, orders placed, order status, alternative sources of supply (e.g., local manufacturing, robs), inventory status, and overall workload supportability within and across shops.

webbanner_productionmanagementThe KCHR™ technology includes a web-enabled software tool with the ability to track end item inductions, material disposition information, parts orders, order fulfillment, sources of material allocated to kits, inventory status, and overall workload supportability.  This technology allows users to record the current status of kit parts, order parts, and track the status of parts on order or that have been robbed from other kits.  The software also allows users to generate web-based reports providing a variety of data views, including order history, part shortages, and part robs.

The KCHR™ technology provides real-time, web-based visibility of critical parts-related information within and across MRO depots.  The KCHR™ technology enables more refined MRO kitting strategies by giving supply organization cross-kit inventory management capability.  In addition, the technology also provides automatic tracking of kit robs and intelligent decision support for parts allocation in response to dynamically changing workload demands.
