Transformation in Maintenance and Repair (XFMR)
XFMR is researching critical method and tool technology voids that must be addressed in transforming Air Logistics Center (ALC) operations to a warrior-centric, highly adaptive, and more efficient sustainment enterprise.
Simulation-based Workload Planning & Shipyard Scheduling (Workship)
Developed in conjunction with Bender Shipbuilding and Repair, WorkShip is a novel software tool kit for shipyard work planning and scheduling that provides, via simulation, schedule forecasting and quick and easy schedule updates.
Workload Transition Testbed (WTT) for PDM Simulation
The PDM Simulation project provided assessment capability for anticipating the facility, manpower, and flow-time implications of workload changes at the Ogden Air Logistics Center.
Kit Content History Reporting Tool (KCHR)
KCHR developed technology for recording and tracking the history of parts activity within shop kits and for generating detailed, web-based reports of this data.
Lean Logistics Simulation (LLSIM)
LLSIM investigated simulation-based decision suppport of depot maintenance and repair activities and developed an information system that supports these activities.
Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Expert System (PPMES III)
The PPMES project developed a system that uses sensor-based alerts, maintenance history data analysis to provide maintenance data mining, statistical maintenance forecasting, and maintenance history data analysis.
Rotary Wing Sustainment Program (RWASP)
As part of the U.S. Army's RWASP program, KBSI monitored, captured, and modeled shop maintenance and repair activities and processes to identify workflow problem areas.
Lean Value Chain (LVC)
The LVC project focused on the analysis of critical part management at CCAD and Tinker AFB, resulting in the implementation of technologies and process improvements supporting critical part anticipation and management oversight.
Optimization Modeling Assistant (OMA)
The OMA project is applying knowledge based systems techniques to developing new technology for optimization analysis.
Post-deployment Software Maintenance (PDSM)
The PDSM project is developing an advanced methodology and supporting tools to facilitate the definition of post-deployment software support staff selection, staffing levels, and training requirements for emerging weapons systems.
