Point of Contact: technology@kbsi.com
Partners: Texas A&M University
Overview
The goal of these Phase I Business Process
Reengineering (BPR) and follow on Phase II/III demonstration
and implementation efforts will be to embed improved practices
and technologies into depot operations. The result of these
implemented practices and technologies will be a 50% reduction
in maintenance cycle and 30% reduction in depot awaiting parts
status. The BPR will focus on high impact and high cost areas
of production hangars and back shops.
Maintenance
and repair activities and processes will be monitored, captured
and modeled using KBSI systems analysis tools such as AIØ
WIN® and ProSim®.
KBSI will also develop workflow simulation models and generate
experiments to determine the problem areas within the shops
under analysis. Technologies and solutions will then be designed
for future implementation on the depot.
