Overview

NASA is currently planning and designing spaceports for facilitating commercially viable space travel in the future. Lacking are scientific tools to model and analyze candidate spaceport technologies and processes.

KBSI's objective in this project was to develop a generic and extendible simulation-based spaceport design and analysis tool. To acheive this objective, we performed the following activities:

	Develop generic spaceport simulation-based design and analysis architecture;
	Develop simulation models for selected focus spaceport areas;
	Demonstration of spaceport design tool by exercising the models for spaceport technology and process change impact analysis;
	Commercialize.
