HP3 Inc., a leading provider of customized technological solutions for skills development, applied KBSI's AIØ WIN® tool to model and analyze the activities involved in T-Mobile's cell site expansion project.

The objective of the T-Mobile project was to capture the cell site expansion process from three distinct viewpoints: RF Engineering, Construction, and Operations. was used to model each of these perspectives, documenting the activities central to each perspective, the operating constraints on those activites, and the relationships among those activities. AIØ WIN® also provides a drill down feature that allows modelers to develop detailed diagrams of individual activities (decompositions) and create hierarchies of diagrams at increasing levels of detail.

Once HP3 and T-Mobile had collaboratively developed the models, the decision was made to integrate the three perspectives into one end-to-end process with RF Engineering serving as the process owner. AIØ WIN® allowed the capturing and restructuring of the model to be accomplished easily and efficiently, preserving the integrity of the sub-processes of each group. AIØ WIN® allows users to merge models of any size using a simple menu command. You can either combine two models into a single model or replace a decomposition diagram with the merged model. AIØ WIN® preserves all elements of the two models.

During the development of the process model, HP3 Professional Services used AIØ WIN® to:

"KBSI's AIØ WIN® is an incredible tool that allows us to produce the exact deliverables we need to impress our largest customer: T-Mobile."

Create process models through interactive interviews with customers.

Print out working process flow diagrams to gain additional input from staff members not present in the discussions.
Quickly and effortlessly produce HTML format to post the finished product on the T-Mobile RF Engineering Internal Website providing widespread access to the process model.

In keeping with their mission of producing trademarked, customized computer training products, HP3 also developed Ultimate Demonstration of Tasks ™ (UDT) audio-visual training files for T-Mobile using screen recording software. Using KBSI's modeling tools, HP3 attached these UDT training files to the electronic process flow diagrams so that the files can be launched directly from the process boxes. An online viewer of the model can, with a single click, view the attached training file--a feature that places the necessary training exactly in its operational context.

One T-Mobile RF Engineers, when examining the final Site Expansion Process Model on the RF Engineering Internal Website, stated "This is not work - this is a work of art!"
