A Systems Thinking Approach
In deciding whether a particular application will benefit a company, planners must consider the impact of the new technology on each aspect of the business, such as the IT department and its assets, corporate administration, other in-place systems, employees/users. Each of these components is critical to the mission of the organization. This Enterprise Architecture, or ‘systems thinking’ approach is about more than just the technology, and must consider how all facets of the business' operations interact.
KBSI has extensive experience in developing comprehensive business process reengineering, systems engineering, and enterprise architecture methods and technologies, and applies a system thinking approach when gathering the needs and requirements for new software systems or new systems-of-systems implementations. We've applied this experience in developing a number of easy to use, rapidly adaptable software tools for planning, analyzing and documenting your enterprise redesigns. The tools enable organizations to model and archive best practices and the data supporting those practices, allowing planners to more quickly and easily respond to market changes and redesigns.
